The thing that all #ShittyCameraChallenge contestants know—and which vanishingly few camera publications understand—is that any camera can yield interesting images if you work what it is instead of punishing it for what it is not, and if yours can't yield interesting images it might be a skill issue

I got a number of shots I liked in Regensburg so I have a bit of catching up to do. The duo in the second photo were called “All Acoustic” and were playing at a Christmas market we wandered by. This is still with the LX7. I hope to take the N1 V1 out this weekend.

I’m actually getting along with the non-tilt screen and no viewfinder better than I expected.

I’m almost ready for the #ShittyCameraChallenge! Just need to figure out where my H35 wound up after our trip in October, since it already has black and white film loaded in it…

But I have two digital cameras ready and set up! One black and one white, as luck would have it 😂

In other #ShittyCameraChallenge news, I got the film from my December photos on the H35 back at the end of last week, and scanned them over the weekend. Just need to learn how to process the scans now…

I found my old (analog) point and shoot from 2002/3 and it still works! I’m pretty sure it’s too good for the #ShittyCameraChallenge though.

To close out the year, here’s a couple more from earlier in December on the Sony 828, since I’m waiting for film to be developed and the jury’s still out on my new camera (one vote for shitty and one vote for not shitty, to my surprise)

Can’t wait to see how they came out. It’ll also be our (my husband’s and my) first foray in home-scanning our film

I finally got out to take some #shittycamerachallenge photos today! Here are my two cameras for it, a Sony F828 with a faulty viewfinder and a Kodak Ektar H35 (focus free analog camera, half frame). I’ll try to get some of the digital photos up tomorrow but the film ones will have to wait, of course
