Around 1980/age 5. My father was extremely homophobic, & always talked about a childhood friend’s drunk dad that would try to lure boys into his home. My mother was very blunt about what likely went on in the house. But she contrasted that by outing a gay couple at our church as a positive example.

Came back in STILL ARGUING about pinch order and how many they landed. Took it back outside for round 2. Lasted even shorter. Long story short, even a young man in peak physical form is not about that life! Talked about that for years, and bystanders joked about how sad it all was. (2/2)
