It looks a little TOO much like FF16 like suspiciously so.

Similar UI, same haircut of protag, uses 8bit art for loading screens, a lot of the same attacks.

This game is awesome! I loved finding out about the rings.

Any plans to expand it? I was hoping for more fun ways to score. I tried getting 1-6 in order but that didn’t do anything.

Oh weird maybe Bluesky doesn’t support the microwave emoji?

I like the idea of starfield but not the execution.

It has the vibe of an early-access 8th-gen game but it was sold for $70 and hyped as if it was a revolution.

I think with more honest marketing, and a lower price point, the game would’ve done a lot better.

💀 i love when toxic people cut themselves out of my communities without any effort on my part. Goodbye, you will not be missed. 👋

I love Platinum & am a sucker for any CAGs that look inspired by their games so I was hyped but I played the demo of SB & kept noticing “this mechanic is from x” or “this attack is like y” and there wasn’t a single thing that gave it any originality.

Why play SB when I can play Bayonetta or Nier?

Oh I was specifically referring to your statement that indie games feel like they’re just the same 3 genres.

I believe that innovation from indie games has been consistent these past 10 years, but the number of stale games has risen as the industry grows which is why it feels stale by comparison :)

I respectfully disagree. I think the reason you think this is the case is because the number of indie devs has increased & therefore it appears like there’s less innovation when I believe it’s the same amount. Just look at “Balatro”, “Animal Well”, “Dredge”, “Inscryption”. Lots of great indie games!

I slept on the yakuza franchise for a long time but when “Like a Dragon: Ishin” came out I got it on a whim, really loved it & decided to play through the whole franchise. I played 1-4, took a couple months break, and back-to-back did 5,6 and now I’m 3/4ths through with 7.

It’s been a lot of fun!

Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon. Probably the most fun I’ve had in a turn based RPG since Front Mission 3. Can’t wait to play Infinite wealth!
