Tried my hand at some architecture blueprint stuff. Gonna build this in Soulmask later. Pics of the final build when I get done! Knd of stoked how thos came out!
Its a blueprint for a castle I made on Canva. it features outerwalls with corner towers, a big gate that leads into a narrow passage that splits the lower courtyard into two farms, an arena, and a trap zone before culminating to a raised manor overlooking it all.

Also, I just need ya'll to see the work I put into this shop. Roofing this was a lot of work! Honestly, I really just want some people to share the love of building pretty houses with.
It's my shop in Saleblazers. It features three distinct sections with barnyard style roofs. In the center is a peaked roof with cross beams in an intricate pattern. The sides have mini towers with turrets atop. There's about twelve people walking inside. We make a LOT of money.

Got called in by a member of my gaming group today. It was short and brutal, but ugg. Accountability sucks sometimes.

Sometimes I can be an asshole. Even when I'm being well intentioned. Worse when I feel like I'm trying my best and getting ignored anyway. I've issues with abandonment methinks.

Back on track! Core stat time!

Each stat does two basic thing minimum: Determine how your PC manipulates cards (based on the Action Value) and provides you with a defensive stat.

What I believe will become important for this particular thread is something smaller: The skills they give characters.
Core Stats Scar Seal characters, player and NPC alike all use stats to represent their capacity to impact the world and how well they can handle its challenges. Each stat has two listings: Its Action Value category used for determining the bonuses of your Primary stats and related skills (listed as “Stat AV” for example “Process AV” or “Light Process” specifically) and its Raw Stat value (listed as “Raw Stat” for example “Raw Act” or “Act 8” specifically) for secondary stats, breaking ties and specific effects. All characters, player or NPC use the following three: Recall- Recall is your ability to retain and sort through previously learned information. Additionally, Recall allows you to perceive the gaps in your own memory, call upon obscure facts to find weakness in your enemies, and maintain more psychic energy to power your abilities. High Recall makes for a vigilant councilor able to make all but the most arcane of secrets bend to their will to truly understand what needs to be done in any crisis situation. Non psychic characters use Recall to push themselves when under pressure with the Endurance skill and see through the deception and trickery with Reason skill. Recall AV determines the following: Hand: In combat or other tense situations where time is a factor, your maximum hand size is equal to your Recall AV. Buffer Limit: How many cards you can place aside for laters rounds in combat. Parry Bonus: Your AV is added to all attempts to parry in combat. The Psychic Skills Perceive and The Mundane Skill Social and Skills under the Art tree Raw Recall determines the following: Stun Resist: Determines the maximum amount of damage in one round needed before your character is forced to discard cards from stunning attacks. Additionally determines the maximum amount of damage that can be parried in one attack. Damage exceeding this number will break your guard. Characters stunned through a guard break take no damage from the attack that broke their guard. Act- Act is your ability to use the information you’ve acquired quickly and effectively as well as conjure forth the full brunt of your psychic potential and unleash it in masterful displays of power. Beyond using your mind to turn things into goo, High Act is the mark of a counselor with the capacity for real compassion and the power to use it for the good of all. Non psychic characters use Act to exert physical force upon things with the Strength skill and display their humanity or see it in others with the Empathy skill. Act AV determines the following: Play: In combat or other tense situations where time is a factor, the maximum number of cards you can play at a time is equal to your Play. Movement rate: Whenever an effect allows you to move, you move an distance equal to your Act The Psychic Skills Predict and The Mundane Skill Technical and Skills under the Science tree Raw Act determines the following: Trauma resist: The amount of cards allowed in a character’s discard pile when taking traumatic damage before marking or crossing off a Seal. Process- Process is your ability to analyze information, come up with plans quickly, resist the manipulation of your enemies, and generate psychic energy to control your abilities. High Process makes for an adaptable councilor able to calmly access and focus their powers to make the best in any crisis situation. Non Psychic characters channel Process to overcome physical hardships with the Tenacity skill and emotional struggles with the Patience skill Process AV determines the following: Draw: In combat or other tense situations where time is a factor, you draw cards equal to your Process’ Action Category. Seal Limit: How many scars your character can receive before being forced to the Brink (See combat) The Psychic Skills Project and The Mundane Skill Physical and Skills under the Humanities tree Courage as well as the limit for how many points may be spent on a single check. Raw Process determines the following: Courage Pool: Between the three main stats, your counselor has almost everything they need to do their job. However, being a counselor is about RESPECT- giving it to those you treat, the opponents you face, your allies, and yourself; and that requires Courage. Courage is a measure of your counselor's ability to face danger, be it a direct confrontation with a hostile entity or an emotional affair where things beyond their physical safety might be at stake. It is an essential resource to cultivate. and can be spent to power their abilities or at any time as a Wild Card with a value of their choosing. (The rest explains how to restore Courage. This will be changed later so don't worry! You're not missing much here! Just ran out of alt text space.)

There's some supplementary rules involving critical successes and what not, but in order to avoid just posting the entire first chapter, let's skip forward a bit to the last crucial piece of info for solving our character creation problem: The Button Input system. (I'm proud of this one!)
Button Inputs Button inputs are a special way of playing cards required to activate some abilities (these requirements are called commands). Button inputs come in different categories, but follow the same primary rule: Inputs are divided by a * symbol. Play cards that match the cards on the left side of the input by lining them up next to each other. Then play cards that match the cards on the right side of the input to activate the listed effect. For example: Fireball is listed as “ (2, 3, 6) * Spade “. To activate this card you would play a 2, 3, and a 6 card then any Spade. Button Inputs and any other rule that uses this notation will always denote the value using parentheses to avoid confusion. Certain effects (generally movement related) will provide a value for what direction an affected character/object/ will travel or otherwise need to take note of Button Inputs that track action category use the value on the last card played on the right side of the * symbol unless otherwise noted. Mirror Inputs: Some effects will call for you to put in the opposite of an abilities button inputs. Use the following guide to help identify each number and its opposite: 1 and 3 4 and 6 7 and 9 2 and 8 are unaffected by this as each input is entered in relation to the character’s left or right facing.

Now let's look at Hard Checks, which involve the use of the "Mood Meter". Currently, the Mood Meter and thus Hard Checks are relegated to the combat chapter, but given the description provided earlier in this chapter we can start coming up with other uses for it! We'll get there though.
The Mood Meter The Mood Meter adds additional, clearer results based on the severity of the situation the players find themselves in. Coming in three stages, each adds either a “and” or a “but” modifier to the results of your actions (read as “yes and”, “yes but”, “no and”, and “no but” respectively) depending on the result of your check. The stages and their associated values and results are as follows: Below is a 1-10 table showing the values of the mood table. It includes the aforementioned results in a sliding scale for each category.

We have two styles of checks for action resolution. Quick Checks and Hard Checks. The former is generally used for non life threatening situations while the Hard Checks are used for the grittier stuff.

This actually helps a bit with figuring out how to address our current problem!

Checks Before we kick depression in the teeth, we should cover how to do basic stuff like… haggle for your coffee with a local barista, hop over a roof while running from a ravenous umbral spirit, or like pick a lock or something. A counselor's gig can call for any number of things. Not all of them are life threatening, but if they are interesting and difficult enough that their success comes to question, a Check is called to determine the outcome. Checks are split into three categories: Light, Medium, and Heavy. Each category is represented by a range of card values from your poker deck as follows: Light: Ace, 2, 3. Generally routine things for the counselor, but hard enough that they need to pay attention to avoid failure. Medium: 4, 5, 6, 7. These types of Check are things the counselor needs to put some effort into not failing, and still might falter anyway. Heavy: 8, 9, 10. This is the stuff that the average counselor calls out sick for if they know it's coming up. Getting through this isn’t impossible, but all but the stalwart or most skilled psychics won’t argue if you told them it was. Any face card is considered wild and may be used as any number for purposes of resolving a Check. Light: Ace, 2, 3. Medium: 4, 5, 6, 7. Heavy: 8, 9, 10. To resolve the Check, do the following: The GM will assign a difficulty value or DV for short, to the Check in relation to how hard it should be for the character to accomplish the tested action. The Player may play a card from their hand with a value matching or exceeding the DV. If they are able to do so, the action succeeds. If they are unable to play a card for any reason or cannot play a card that meets or exceeds the DV, the action fails. The GM then narrates the result of the Check and continues play from there.

Yu Jin's bond cutscenes are actually just his soldiers talking about him until he shows up and yells at them to get in shape. There's one exception that really hits home, but I like how they did this! Makes me feel attached to these little guys!
