I have attempted to interact here. I've come to the conclusion this is not the place for me. Cliques were bad in grade school, I don't need to be their target on a platform that is supposed to promote social interaction.

Post surgery recovery. Can't sit, can't stand for long. Reclining trying to play bass also doesn't work. *sigh*
I do get through 6 songs before having to lie down. That’s not even half a set. I have a little over a week to improve enough for a show.

Changed the neck on the AVii '66. I couldn't get used to the chinese neck. I acquired a 2022 CV 60s Squier Jazz neck. Much nicer.

Mock-up of a strat that I am working on using the neck that I previously did truss work on. Black & Gold with a Burgundy Mist Metallic body. The pickguard is gold mirror, taking a good photo is problematic.

I'm going to convert it back to a 4 string. I cannot adjust to playing it as a 5. The new jazz bridge mag field doesn't like the A string.
Maybe I'll look into a high tension 4 string set and go BEAD .. except I use my G a lot, much more than I'd use the B. I do like hitting that low D though ..

Val Kilmer .. always liked his work. While many great movies, the first to always come to my mind is Top Secret. Whether you think it's a great movie or not, it was a fun watch performed by a great actor.

Squier neck, backbow with purported broken truss, badly glued in plug. It was a two-way overtightened one way. Cleaned it up, fixed hex head so that a 5/32 would fit. New plug to hide the badly drilled hole. Needs a body now.

Oh, hey everyone, just a casual Sun as I recover from Fri gig. Main nerve pinches & burning is gone post surgery (YAY!) but that doesn't mean muscle pain and tension are gone. I am restricted from doing any proper physical therapy. After Mar the surgeon will let me know what's allowed.

Rehearsal last night. I did ok, a bit stiff & sore this morning. I was extra careful not to hurt my neck, no point in ruining the surgical outcome already.

The Fender AVii 66 Jazz #bass is now playable after making a 3rd party 21 fret neck fit. I had to cut an overhang notch in the heel. I'm still awaiting my custom logo, then I'll put a string retainer on it. Eventually, I'll get a more period correct neck - probably a Vintera 60s jazz neck.

I attempted to practice my #bass last night. Pre&Post-surgery abstinence has certainly taken it's toll. My fingers don't want to stretch, they are weak and causing string buzz. My bass runs are not smooth.

Well, I ordered one inexpensive #guitar that was also on sale - a good deal. Imagine my surprise when they sent 4 😱.
