I refuse to play the Final Fantasy 7 remake because I just wanted a remake of the game in that style, that’s it, not a weird multiverse revisit/soft reboot continuation, nothing to do with the combat change, I have FF16 and though I was excited for it at first I lost motivation to actually start it

I did the stuff that would get romanticized from that era but never all the time/to degree it’s seen as, and so much of that stuff was expensive, I also wasn’t getting invited to parties or confident to wear cute clothes meant for thin girls of that era, pretty privilege was big in those spaces
