I hate the online reaction cycle that praises a piece of art a lot and uses it as an example of what’s good about the medium but then the moment it gets awards or enough acclaim or fandom, suddenly we have to talk about how it’s actually not really that good and it’s overrated and always sucked

#Clairobscur is a great game when it comes to the conversation between the philosophies and theories of family dynamics, authoritarianism, and religion and how those all can mix together, and the canvas giving the family a type of godhood in its world is so genius which makes the story more tragic

It's funny, they want to go around touting that men are more into Lord Of The Rings/Tolkien but then as someone who is a fan and in fantasy literature/media spaces, its very much the opposite, I see less men, growing up all the big Tolkien fans I knew were mostly women, #lordoftherings #tolkein

Not everyone is going to get it but #StrangerThings is one of those things I probably would of gotten into if I grew up skinny/ was currently skinny when it first came out, kinda glad I never got into anyway, it made zoomers romanticize the 80s and has normies fetishizing alt and nerd culture

As younger #millennial girl who wasn’t super skinny and went to art school and lived the “millennial optimism” era, it was an extremely traumatic time for me and that life really was only fully given to rich/conventionally attractive people who didn’t struggle and got to be whimsical 24/7

I think a reason why there is so much eeriness connected to most things with #TheWizardofOz is that original book series is a fantasy story based off the US, a country of bloody/exploitative origins, the artifice that the US's brand of capitalism creates is a catalyst to a lot of the weirdness

I think the reason why I love the Dark Side of Rainbow version of #thewizardofoz is because I both love the movie/books and The Dark Side of The Moon by #PinkFloyd , with my mental health struggles seeing them sync the way they do feels cathartic for me as a girl trapped in the American experiment

Crusty gremlin face while I dye some denim for my Paige from #deadlock cosplay for #magfest this year, this time I’m trying to do the math for using dharma dyes, so a lot more salt than I typically thought when I would wing it in the past when I would use these dyes and they would be too light lol

I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan and in that series there are so many characters that are created for someone else's purpose and we see them develop past that and gain their autonomy and discover who they want to be and I think it could been a great way to handle Painted Verso in #clairobscur (part 01)
