Interested in your take. I've found many not willing to do the exegetical work to understand ancient texts, which causes damage. Are you referring to their dismissing texts or misinterpreting them? My theological convictions might be errored but they come from my best effort to understand the text.

That's a great point, and I've also become aware of how mental health issues impact responses and a need to be gracious to people in some manner.
