I'm way past getting annoyed at Donald Trump's antics. What I am really annoyed at is how the supposedly "adults in the room" say and do nothing while the President of the USA behaves like a spoiled 8 year old. Did you guys heard about the "Presidential Walk of Fame"? And the $400 million ballroom?

It's high time we stop focusing on Trump. The guys is obviously an ignorant, greedy crook only concerned with becoming America's first de facto dictator. The *real* problem are his enablers: the lawmakers, staffers, courts and enforcers looking the other way while Trump runs America to the ground.

if Hitler wasn't hellbent in waging war and invading other countries, Nazism might have never been defeated and Germany today might well still be under a Nazi dictatorship. We assume every dictatorship is always doomed to end with some sort of popular uprising, but sadly that is seldom the case.

Trump wants to fire a Federal Reserve Governor because she "was credibly accused of lying in financial documents". No one is above the law, and we must upheld our government to the highest ethical standards! What's next? A president who was found guilty on 34 counts of falsified business records??

"We’re now at a point in American history when a so-called Republican regime in Washington is extending its control far beyond the wildest dreams of the most left-wing of Democrats — or even socialists. But this control is not exercised publicly. It’s behind the scenes." tinyurl.com/8vkuybvt

Trump is not the problem. He is the SYMPTOM of a society that lacks a basic understanding of economy and history, a society that prizes wealth above all things, a society that considers empathy and honesty as weaknesses that must be suppressed. America's education system has failed spectacularly.

It's astonishing to see how unconcerned and indifferent most Americans seem to be as the Rule of Law is becoming dead letter. Trust in the Rule of Law was the cornerstone of American progress for centuries, yet the USA is becoming just another Banana Republic where only the rulers can prosper.

"Court victories" are completely meaningless if they are not enforced. When the Law is not enforced, there is no Law, and lawyers and judges become irrelevant.

Shunning free trade and obsessing about "economic self reliance" by limiting the availability of products from "foreign countries" is a hallmark of Communist economic principle. The USSR tried it and its economy collapsed. China tried it but ditched it in the 1990s. North Korea still clings to it.

"Ice detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group receive government funding based on the number of people they detain, which is why they lobby for stricter immigration policies. It’s a lucrative business" tinyurl.com/42z38vvr
I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

"A dictatorship is an autocratic form of government which is characterized by a leader, or a group of leaders, who hold governmental powers with few to no limitations." I don't see any limitations in the current US administration. The Rule of Law is simply being ignored. It's a dictatorship, period.

I've read a fair share of posts and news about Americans feeling bad for Canadians. I have to say that the feeling is mutual: we feel really sorry for non-MAGA Americans. Watching the USA under Trump is like watching a brother who became addicted to heroine and is on a dangerous downward spiral.

These days, whenever anyone in the US government or ruling party is questioned about the legality, effectiveness or contradictions in any of the Administration rulings and statements, the reply is always, in effect, "Hehe! We WON! Who cares?"

I know that what has been happening in the US is so ridiculous that it's hard to to take any of it seriously.

Yet, now it has become a matter of National Security.

Is there a plan for when the Commander-in-Chief openly betrays the country and becomes a Russian operative?

I hope there is.

Back when I was a teenager (80s) and I read about how Hitler and Mussolini came to power, I was perplexed at how utterly stupid and gullible people in 1930s Germany and Italy were... Fast forward to 2025 and now I can witness the whole process first-hand. Fascinating and depressing at the same time.

I'm getting tired of headlines like "Trump XYZ could violate international that" or "US Government sued because XYZ". Who on earth thinks that a government led by a convicted felon gives two hoots about doing anything "legally"? Let's stop pretending, the USA is now, for all purposes, a dictatorship

Whenever you hear the latest outrageous/ridiculous/hilarious thing Trump has said or done, remember that this is a great smokescreen to distract everyone from all the Project 2025 goals quietly being achieved. It is critical to focus on what is really important. Laughing achieves nothing.

Isn't it weird how, right after Elon is given access to the US Treasury payment system, Trump comes up with the most outlandish statement on Gaza, so that now all the news are focused on Trump and Gaza, and Elon's shenanigans are conveniently forgotten?
