A campaign by former Vodafone franchisees Andrew Kerr, Rikki Lear and Donna Watton.
Even if they felt confident they’d win the case, it’s still a possible liability close to £100 million. Don’t shareholders deserve to be aware?

This is the second time Vodafone has left our claim out of its financial results.

And Vodafone themselves have admitted they are making ‘goodwill’ payments to other franchisees, now close to £5 million in total. How high could the sum get?

Vodafone listed five other legal actions under the heading ‘Contingent liabilities and legal proceedings’ – but not ours.

This is despite it being a legal claim that has been filed in the High Court over a year ago, with law firms instructed on both sides, and with potential damages close to £90 million.

This is not just a financial story - it’s a story of governance, ethics, and accountability.

-Vodafone has said it paid £4.9 million in “goodwill payments” to former franchisees. Are these included in its reported results? How were they calculated? Will this number grow?
November 11, 2025 at 10:23 AM
-Why is Vodafone failing to disclose this major contingent liability, even though other legal cases are referenced?

-Has Vodafone set aside funds to cover potential damages and legal costs, given the case is proceeding to court?
November 11, 2025 at 10:23 AM
This omission raises serious questions about Vodafone’s transparency, governance, and treatment of risk - questions that shareholders and regulators should be asking.
November 11, 2025 at 10:23 AM
The group of 62 former Vodafone franchisees bringing a multi-million-pound High Court claim against the company - a case that could cost Vodafone close to £90 million in potential damages as well as legal fees – is not mentioned anywhere in Vodafone’s financial statement.

We noticed one issue was missing.

We are stronger.
We are united.
We have turned despair into determination and injustice into action.

Our story is no longer just about what went wrong - it’s about what happens next.

Those left in isolation built a community grounded in shared purpose, dignity, and belief in a fairer future for franchisees and other small business owners.

We are not the same people who signed those contracts five years ago.
November 10, 2025 at 2:02 PM
We’ve seen leadership changes, parliamentary debates, and growing media scrutiny. Each has revealed how Vodafone’s franchise programme failed its people.

And yet, through that failure, something powerful emerged.
Franchisees who once felt silenced found their voice.
November 10, 2025 at 2:02 PM
What began as a group of small business owners and ex-Vodafone franchisees seeking fairness has become something much bigger - a movement that continues to expose, challenge, and demand change from the very top of the Vodafone chain.

And so, we continue to fight for accountability and for systems where no one’s mental health comes at the cost of doing business.

Because no one should ever be left to carry that burden alone.

As such, we stand firmly behind the WHO’s commitment to stronger workplace mental health leadership, and all the charities who continue to foster mental health awareness in the workplace.

At #FairerFranchise, we represent those who have had to bear the weight of excessive financial burden and mental distress during their time as franchisees for Vodafone.

-A sense of purpose,
-Inclusion in a community,
-And the dignity that comes from stability and support.

But for many of Vodafone’s former franchisees, work became the very source of harm.
