The book is set in an alternative Britain, beset on both sides with human kingdoms separated by sea. It clearly uses British fae folk as inspiration. Why is it a crime to redraw the political lines and keep the geography the same?

I’m surprised at how many people are upset the author “isn’t even trying”, when the book is clearly set in an alternative faerie version of England. There’s even mainland Europe with human kingdoms to the east, including that one country with all the tulip fields.

The names sure are simple though.
