sorting pics for this month's journal and this one just really embodies how metroid 1 is the silliest game ever. the lava is fake. there's a hole below the floor below the lava. that means the floor below the lava is probably fake. this whole segment was probably my fav bit of the whole game

i think early blobbers have an unfair advantage compared to other rpgs cause even if the combat isn't wonderful you get the inherent satisfaction of drawing cute little maps, or the personal RPG power progression of being familiar enough with a zone to run through it without one

i think i've been wholly underestimating the strength of the phrase "fake video game" until playing golden axe. i've called a lot of games fake in the past and earnestly believed it but i think genuinely nothing holds a candle to this one

i love that talking to a lot more people this year has gotten me exposed to and genuinely interested in a lot the things that they like. because i think my friends liking and talking about something is one of the things that gets me most interested in things atm

if i can be honest christmas is never a very easy time for me and this year was easily one of the hardest in recent memory. so thank you to all the cool people in my computer and my phone who helped make this week a little easier to get through ♡

anyway, for a good little bit of positivity this Posting Season: should have one last piece out before the new year. it's a much more casual one, but i say the word "holism" a lot about an obscure ps1 game which makes me sound a bit much like a youtuber. curious how this one'll go down
