In the foreground we see a smiling Michael Jordan facing the photographer in his sleeveless tracksuit, a ball in his hands above his head as if he were about to pass to him. Standing at his feet is a little 4/5 year-old girl in a checkered dress, completely uninterested in the photographer, who is concentrating on the basketball she seems to be struggling to hold in her tiny hands. The two of them are surrounded by a smiling crowd of amused onlookers. Some are wearing roller skates, the Trocadero being a popular spot for roller skaters in Paris at the time.

In the upper right half of the foreground, a sharp branch of arbutus stands out against the blue sky. In the upper right of the photograph, below this branch, on the horizon a hundred meters away, the setting sun is obstructed by trees and vegetation, whose dark silhouettes can be made out against the light. Towards the center of the photogaphy, above this horizon line, the sun diffuses an intense aura that goes from yellow to orange, dissolving into the blue of the sky. Below the skyline, this aura is reflected in the river, giving it a golden hue in which the few trees lining the river are also reflected. The slight ripples on the surface of the water give a touch of impressionism to this reflexion, which gradually dissolves towards the photographer's position or the ripples of the water in a dark blue color.

The picture shows a two-tone wall, 2/3 canary yellow, covered with a kind of leafless ivy, 1/3 brown, at the foot of which has grown calf-high grass. On this wall is projected the shadow of the photographer walking along while taking the picture. You can tell that the shadow and the photographer are one and the same by the orientation of the body toward the wall and the position of the arms, suggesting the camera, which is indistinguishable from the shadow. The shadow's feet, lost in the tall grass, are indistinguishable. We can also make out that the photographer/shadow is wearing a cap, but what we can't see is that he's wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap.

Dead man.
Black and white poster for Jim Jarmush's film Dead Man. Johnny Deep, the film's main character, is lying on the bow of a canoe. Only the front of the canoe and Johnny Deep's upper body are visible. He is wearing a fluffy fur coat and a Porkpie hat. Johnny Deep seems to be in a state, which is hardly surprising. His gaze seems lost, worried, even resigned, as he stares off-camera at the water in front of him. His right hand is hidden, resting on his belly and masked by his fur coat Napoleon's style, while his right hand nonchalantly protrudes from the boat in the same direction as his gaze. The back ground of the picture is misty and dissolve with the white upper party of the poster where you can read DEAD MAN in black bold capital letters. Good poster, good movie too.
