A movie about a young brilliant janitor at Harvard who becomes a celebrated math genius (but only in baseball stats).

Call it Good Will Bunting.

It’s the time of year I like to be out looking for great gray owls but I have not found any yet. Worries me a little as the avian influenza can be quite devastating to birds of prey and that virus is making its rounds again #greatgrayowl #owl #birdofprey #wildlife

Most of my life has been rage, bitterness, and exhaustion. It's good to have been able to find a place near the end of the Earth to slow down and chill.

I hope you can find that near the end of wherever you are.

In the meantime, enjoy tonight's pelican festival 🪶

Today, the Yankees non-tendered RHP Michael Arias, RHP Jake Cousins, RHP Scott Effross, RHP Ian Hamilton and RHP Mark Leiter Jr.

Additionally, the Yankees have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with INF/OF Oswaldo Cabrera and RHP Clarke Schmidt, thus avoiding arbitration.

The Yankees non-tendered Mark Leiter Jr., Scott Effross, Ian Hamilton, Jake Cousins, and Michael Arias. Arias is a Double-A reliever they could re-sign to a minor league deal. Cousins had Tommy John surgery in June and will most/all of 2026. Tough to carry him on the 40-man roster all offseason.

Certainly to reassure UCI after Lazkano's suspension. As long as teams continue to place their trust in individuals with questionable backgrounds, professional cycling will remain a sport that is constantly surrounded by controversy.

A bit too many comments that Shohei is the best hitter in baseball. That title is pretty obviously Judge.

LOL WTF part 2. Wemby forces a pass out from RJ Barrett. He eventually secures a rebound, breaks backcourt pressure with a behind the back dribble and passes ahead to Vassell for a transition dunk. 👽

Spoke with an orthopedic surgeon about Anthony Volpe's surgery. The big takeaway is that what happened immediately after the cortisone injections probably indicates how much his shoulder affected his 2025 season.

But that also means excuses are now over.

Why Anthony Volpe’s shoulder surgery signals end of excuses on Yankees shortstop’s future
There are reasons for optimism Volpe could return as an improved player, according to an orthopedic surgeon. But who is that player?
