I just saw this advert and immediately thought it looks like the last thing someone sees before being horribly savaged to death.

This was my favourite episode.

Finally got a Spider Gwen lego minifig. Pretty much the only one I wanted from the new collection.

Saw this amazing artwork on the Morphett Bridge in Adelaide. Very impressive metallic paintwork on a curved support to make it look like the terminator is staring at us.

Saw this on the Facebook and thought I would share it as its hilarious!

I read a thread on Reddit which showed that the politicians and locals were loathe to use money from the federal government under Obama or Biden. They also felt that sirens would benefit tourists rather than locals in the area who knew what to do in an emergency.

If you see this, quote with a robot that isn’t from “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” “Dr. Who,” or “Transformers.”

Pretty sure she won’t.

“We are looking to increase tree coverage in your street”

I don’t think leaving dead trees on the street is the answer here…

Kind of curious about the publisher conversation behind this title.

“I call it: The Telekinetic Girl”

“What the fuck does that mean, Jackson?”

“She can move shit with her mind?”

“Can’t expect your readers to know that! Give it a proper fuckin title!”

“Alright then.”

The fun part of going to the Sunday fresh produce market is coming across great deals - an entire tray of fresh figs for $25. I see homemade dried figs and fig ice cream in the near future! (The bag contains the figs I started bagging before @ivalaine.bsky.social realised the trays were available!)

These cheese balls taste horrific and are far too rubbery. Do not recommend.

This has been on my TBR pile for a couple of years. Looking forward to finally cracking the spine and seeing an alternate Ripley timeline playing out!

No cheating. Post the last photo of your pet.

I had a really confused discussion with someone who used 'woke' in a weird way on a Facebook post saying it was woke to censor books. I pretended ignorance of their meaning and asked them to clarify. They ended the discussion with the following screed outlining his own personal interpretation.

Awesome birthday present from @ivalaine.bsky.social - a Lego Ankylosaurus (Bumpy from the Jurassic Park animation). We had a little discussion about how you pronounce ankylosaurus and discovered both ways are valid.

Informational panel at our vets practice. You can tell it’s an Australian practice because you don’t get quite so many pages about snakes in Ireland.

I know it’s the Batmobile, but to me it looks like the cabin of the Dropship from Aliens.

No it’s still illegal, at least according to this article. I’ve screenshotted the applicable bit. They are allowing GM of animals and plants and trials into medical benefits for humans, but not changes to humans that are inheritable. Certainly not foetuses!

Just posting a picture of the actual Newgrange monument for anyone who would like to know.

Huh! I grew up in Northern Ireland and always thought our flag was the St George Cross with the red hand of Ulster on a six pointed star with a crown.

Discovered today that this is the Ulster Banner and does not hold an official status, no matter how many times I saw it officially displayed!

The professor running our science course at Uni (nearly 30 years ago?) shared this Gary Larsen cartoon in his opening lecture which he said demonstrated clearly the observer effect on the organisms we would be examining. It always stuck with me!
