Currently interested in effective strategies for curing type 1 diabetes, nuclear engineering, uncertainty quantification and predictive modelling. I know, a weird combo 🤪
Yea definitely the same moving to libre really helped improve understanding on somethings. I was diagnosed in 2001 and didn't get a libre till 2020 nearly 2021 due to pandemic.

Likewise!! The disease is definitely harder in your teens or early 20s or whenever you're first diagnosed as you're just thrown into the deep end and have to learn the hard way. But you're also new to everything else 🫠

It's amazing that some don't realise that you're more of an expert.

I'm also very bad at remembering to let some insulin out before you inject. Tbh, rarely a problem nowadays in my experience. Don't think the pens are great at detecting those. Only exception is when you change cartridges, then you have to. #t1d

Also these things aren't 100% accurate even though it's an integral.

According to this I've had no lows this week. But I've had a few low sugars that were corrected.

See xdrip of today which clearly shows a low, which I took lucozade for.

It's COMPLICATED as if you eat later that night, your sugars can go super high while you sleep and if your phone is off the alarms don't go off and the next day you wake up in a bad state - day basically ruined from the get go.
