So, 3 things that occurred to me.
1. HGs are so much faster! I blasted through this kit.
2. I hate stickers - stuck immediately, and were very resistant to nudging.
3. I love Macross - The YF-19 might be my favourite mech design, although Gurren Lagann is very close.

So, finished? I guess?? I could do a second beam ribbon, but I really like having the V hand. There were a few times I had to translate the instructions since they were entirely in Japanese and Iv'e done to no panel lining on her, but I'm super glad to have built this kit, finally.

4 year old finished her first Gunpla! It took her months since her interest waxed and waned, and she had a period of fear that she couldn't do it, so she didn't even want to try - but now she did it!

So I've got what appears to be light rust on my godhand nippers - I treat them with sewing oil after use, so surprised at this. Any ideas on how to remove? Or is it not rust? Any tips on future maintenance?

My first RG Gunpla is complete(ish)!
I used some liquid cement in the waist, which has paralysed the torso slightly, but I couldn't see any other way to fix the break. Having a look online, it seems that the EW Tallgeese is notorious for having a failure at this spot, so I feel less bad.

My first RG Gunpla is complete(ish)!

RG Tallgeese EW progress - body is complete, backpack is next. The way the inner arm skeleton worked confused me at first, but this has been a really cool build so far!

At some point during the build, a tiny piece of the skirt pin/peg broke off - and it's such a small piece that trimming something down to cement/replace is impossible for my hands.
Aaargh.

GQUUUUUUX is complete. The build didn't feel amazing until I got the legs, wish was just such a different experience from normal, 8/10. Hate the marking stickers though, dropped one and it vanished into the void.

Lfrith is finished although I'm not satisfied with it - I might come back to it at some point and actually paint parts - not sure. GQuuuuuuX is next.

Another week, another Gunpla built.
This time, it was the Uraven Gundam - I honestly like the Core Gundam. He's such a cute little guy! I didn't even bother converting the Uraven armour into him because I knew I'd just end up taking it back off for the shelf.

Another week, another Gunpla built.

I forgot to post, but I finally finished the Gundvolva! Honestly, switching to the Godhand and Glass filing has shown my building down dramatically, but the end result is superior.
I also printed this little holder for the instructions and redid my setup since I kept hunching at the table.

There's some great organisers out there if you have access to a 3D printer. Doesn't make me a better builder at all, but a guy can dream.
