All cops are bad. All abortions are healthcare. All TERFs are garbage. All crypto is a scam. She/her.
And the kids are obsessed with them 😭

Somehow picking out one nice, soft stuffy that they actually like just can't compete with opening a huge plastic ball to get a crappy quality toy that isnt even the one they wanted.

The gift of being disappointed on Christmas morning, marked up 300%

People who live in cold places always think they have the skill of driving in snow.

What we have is *infrastructure designed for snow*

Grew up in snow. Having driven in Texas after a single inch fell and sliding right off the side of the road going 10mph humbled me. No salt or sand? No drive.

"Traffic is already terrible" gosh imagine how much better it would be if we stopped letting so many people drive

My current favorite is "not being able to turn left at a specific intersection is ableist because disabled people need cars to get to the doctor."

My suggestion to limit all car use in the city to the disabled doesn't seem to appeal to them though.

I had big babies and low supply. I would have zero babies if not for formula.

Congrats to all the folks who convinced this rich idiot to pay them $77 b in exchange for delivering nothing.

Absolutely.

But unfortunately the cheating spouse narrative seems to be more effective because society still wants to put the blame for unwanted contact on a woman's choices.

But the idea that men naturally sometimes cheat is, well, something everyone accepts just as easily.

I believe the guidance has changed for younger people who have already had shingles. Definitely something to look into again if it's been a long time since you asked

That's tetanus, and you can get it from any wound from a dirty object. Doesn't need to be rusty or metal. It just so happens that a lot of dirty things that cause injuries are metal and outside metal tends to be rusty. That's why it's important to get your vax updated every 10 years regardless

Tetanus is found in dust and soil.

If you can keep a kid away from those you're a better parent than I.

Luckily that's a standard childhood vaccination (dtap)

And waiting for marriage and being monogamous only protects you if your partner is also a virgin who never cheats. Are you going to gamble your child's life on the hope that her future spouse never strays?

I was 26 and married when it came out.

Asked my doctor for it right away and his response was "you don't need it; you're married"

I demanded it anyway and he gave up.

Guess whose husband cheated on her. A lot. And was divorced 3 years later?

Always get the vaccine.

Yeah, I feel like I already got accommodated by people simply because they care about me as a person. But that was before my diagnosis as well.

I also have the privilege of being a professional white woman so the world already accommodates my sunglass and earbud and fashion whims.

Why were some things that seemed easy for others so much harder for me?

I finally had an answer that wasn't "lazy"

Why did I seem to constantly inadvertently offend people and have to be on guard all the time?

I finally had an answer that wasn't "weirdo"

And, at least for folks like me, getting my autism diagnosis didn't even come with any help or accomodations. I'm low support needs and had a good support system I had already built.

All it gave me was insight into myself. For the first time I could understand why I felt so different.

Adding both of my kids and my husband to my work health insurance cost at least that much when my husband was between jobs 2 years ago, and premiums have gone up since.

I wonder if she considered just posting in the Legal Advice subreddit instead

I also had a parent teacher conference at least once a year every year for the annual accusation that my work was plagiarism due to me knowing words and using them.

I can't imagine how much worse it would be in this world of LLMs

In high school English class I missed a question on a vocabulary quiz because you were supposed to match a word to a synonym out of a large list.

Word was "subconscious" and there was no match.

I asked after and her answer was "above" because "it's like above your consciousness"

I am still mad

They could use engine noise played at the same decibel level as a normal gasoline car engine. That way it's both audible and recognizable.
December 4, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Yeah, it has that but it's still quiet enough that I don't know how you'd pick it up in a non-silent environment. And I'm in a city so walking through my neighborhood involves going past an alley every block where the car is gonna pull out half blind onto the sidewalk.
