As a visa holder living in the US, there is never a wrong time to post this.
We don’t need the tourism industry, right? I mean it’s only worth about 3 TRILLION dollars, 2.5% of GDP, and 15 million jobs as of 2024. Just another thing for the gop to piss away. Frankly, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to come here these days.

Sadly, this is our history. From our indigenous population to the successful independent post Civil War black communities (Rosewood, Wilmington, Tulsa, Forsyth county…), America has always massacred any community they want to whenever they want to.

Compared to what existed before, the ACA is a freaking miracle. Millions more people have access to healthcare. Is it adequate? Barely. Should it be scrapped for universal healthcare? Absolutely. But don’t for a second try to pretend it hasn’t been an improvement.

We deserve nothing more than to be treated like a pariah. For our entire history we have teetered on the edge between making moral, equitable choices about our society and succumbing to out bigotry and greed. We welcome our hatreds like dear old friends at every chance, refusing to grow and change.

I keep seeing the same thing. It’s bs. He controls every aspect of our country. SCOTUS gave him a blank check. He does whatever he wants with no consequences. He’s more vile and corrupt every day. Someone please point out the weakness of his situation other than his health, which the media ignores.
