If you’re reading this give me art inspiration
Riot and current scalping aside, game is great.

Scales cleanly, has legs for competitive and casual, overall cohesive theming.

If it stays as is it’ll be a great game for a long time but we’ll see how long Riot can resist “shaking things up.”

I have no intention of making Bumbleflower control one of my commander decks.

I would read the absolute FUCK out of this.

I liked the conversation about the current scalping. I have no clue how much money this game will be worth but prices are insane. Boxes far above EV, cards only going on sparse Top 8s from Chinese tourneys. I hope Riftbound can exist for a while as I enjoy the system but secondary market scares me.

At the moment, no. In the future, maybe?

Viego and Thresh don’t have Legend cards yet so they can’t be a commander. They might get unit cards that can go in their colors though, champs like Anivia and Taric are in this category right now.

I see where you’re coming from and it’s definitely hitting me. Some cards use art from LOR to save on costs early in the games life and the cards don’t match. I will say I much prefer Runeterra as a competitive game, LOR could stall easily and Runeterra helps solve that plus add multiplayer.

I quite like it. It uses a point system as opposed to a life system so in multiplayer it’s much harder for one player to be removed from the game. It has the framework for deep interactivity but I think more cards are needed before we get to anything MTG level. Birthing Pod in their Alpha is peak

Not PK but it’s very different. LOR you assigned attacks and blocks between each other but in Riftbound it’s more someone chooses to attack somewhere you are blocking. Mana system is also completely overhauled, essentially destroying lands as part of the cost of some spells in exchange for 2/turn

I’m convinced it takes a deal with an old money real estate agent to get a livable house. Unfortunately I think that mandates the demonic bargaining.

Well, New York actually tried this for a bit

Yeah that’s a banger

Fav art from a non-mtg TCG?

Caveats to consider is that I’m only on kitchen table level decks with little high-end consistency but it doesn’t trip any signals indicating top level play would be ultra toxic or utterly banal

I think red should lean heavily into losing options through play. Burn spells have a nuanced versatility when placed in aggressive shells which pairs well with the idea of rummaging or other immediate value via trade of future options. Bolting the 2/2 instead of getting 3 face is a big decision.

It may be worth looking into a Long Term Service version of Windows 10, there’s a few tutorials online and it’s essentially just windows 10 minus some small features because it was designed for computers that won’t update for years. Unless you’re doing some absolutely insane shit should be cherry

I know they’re closer to Octopi than Squid but I think they’d be fun to squish so I drew a vampire squid too.

Ajani Vengeant was also right there but I’m too much a Tarkir simp

I think the scariest thing in the game can be equated to “walk down this dark hallway for a bit” and it doesn’t *try* to scare you so not really a “spooky game” but still a banger

Outer Wilds has a fair bit of existential dread and can be full cleared in about 20 hours. Something to scratch the sci-fi/horror puzzle itch. Never finished the DLC but always heard good things about it as well!

I have also noticed this and have wondered why. I think it stems from the majority of the genre being mobile cash grabs while stellar games like the Gnorp Apologue and NGU Idle couldn’t be less predatory.
