What would Keanu Reeves do? Try that. Science. Math. History. Literature. Film and stage. Happy in any environment where people are reasonable and compassionate. Merciless to those who punch downward. Working on being a better person (eventually). No bots.
The Constitution does not require that the Speaker swear in elected representatives. It is tradition. Blocking her from taking her seat would be illegal.

We need to seal up all the cracks in the big C with hardcore legislation so these rats can’t keep squeezing out of rule of law.

Dumb decision to publicize untested technology.

Watch me as I hit this unbreakable window with a hammer.

It’s not racist to hold anti vaccine communities accountable for their choices. I think most people would agree that demonizing them as a class for non-ethical issues is wrong.

Yes. We also learned not to sit on Uncle No-No’s lap at family gatherings. (Aunt Sarah just kept Jimothy in his room until dinner.) You never got into a vehicle with a stranger or answered the front door after school while your parents were at work. We used cash, analog clocks, and biked everywhere.

Government analysis in Canada: gross price inflation is $3.27 million. About $1 per year per person.

Richmond Fed, USA: $6 million. $.02 per person per year, avg.

NZ, no real impact. Same for AU. SE. CH. AR.

Two kinds of people “hurt” by the change. Five-year-olds and those who just love cash.

P.S. We’re not the first English speaking nation to phase out worthless currency. And it doesn’t have to change electronic transactions by one cent. (Pun intended.)

In Canada and New Zealand, retailers just ignore the last two cents and round up on three. We get the extra half cent on average.

I wouldn’t trust that hunch. Businesses who previously wasted hundreds or thousands of labor hours counting this currency will save money. It’s going to be a wash.

Fetterman is an example of an ordinary American who doesn’t read or question his sources, who has shared values but is susceptible to the GOP propaganda machine that demonizes marginalized people, denies science and history, and loves using red herring issues.

The kind of voter we must reach.

You can’t buy class. No matter how much gold plating you apply to your house.

Not mutually exclusive things. It can be all of the above

You’d think that the billionaires would want to take excellent care of the people whom they routinely deploy to protect their interests once they have retired, need healthcare, or are disabled, and ensure not a single one of them is unhoused for the remainder of their lives.

Over 1,000,000 casualties on the part of Russia. Wow. I wonder how many total Russian and foreign lives Didi has wasted on this invasion, in addition to the murders and kidnappings of civilians.

Just tell the nerds it’s Earth-279, the Bond multiverse.

I appreciate you speaking up and sharing your perspective. I love hearing from like minded people outside of the USA.

Hoping that very few will die while we wait for the next election, I guess

At her current rate there won’t be anyone else alive by episode 6
November 11, 2025 at 7:25 PM
No I think they were hoping to raise awareness among the GOP and independent groups of what their red representatives are taking away from them.
November 11, 2025 at 7:16 PM
In the meantime, I would support all attempts to restrict the damage they are doing.
November 11, 2025 at 4:27 PM
She could be that too
November 11, 2025 at 4:23 PM
And now, every one of her fans still alive knows she’s gay, she loathed them, and she didn’t trust them.

And suppressing her rage only to explode under stress has monumental consequences.

I’m sending this is definitely not going to be a quirky existentialist comedy like The Good Place.

I don’t have a solution other than forcing the GOP to reckon with harming their own base.

The USDA can suck eggs. My state is suing the USDA and it’s not complying with the order.

Even the worst off citizens understand that there has to be a stopping point beyond which the BS may not pass.

The states are stepping in to ensure SNAP recipients don’t go hungry.

Federal employees are often already underpaid and living paycheck to paycheck. Or they have the sense to save for emergencies.

Do you think the status quo before the shutdown was acceptable? When do we stop knuckling under?
