My son was 9 and we were still wearing masks in public places. He was given an assignment to draw himself in black and white pen on red paper. Notice the use of light and dark to define shapes, the hair, and the plaid fabric of the mask. He was 9.

I lost a friend yesterday. Eric was a Wabash College classmate and really kind English nerd from Muncie, IN. Creative and thought-provoking. A gifted writer and photographer. Adored by many. I'm carrying his memory forward and I hope to gain a few more in the coming weeks.
