There is so much sadness and fear in Mecca's eyes. A tragic end for her human and traumatic for the dogs.

I think I just said yes to adopting a senior-ish dog without seeing her. All I know is she's a Labrador and around 7 or 8 years old.

December hasn't been an easy month for the past 8 yrs. This week leading to the 21st weighs on me even as my exterior projects a merry disposition (close friends catch on, though). The last week is torture.
December used to be my favorite month. Now I don't want to acknowledge its existence.
