+ sight gags, spread through 7 stories/chapters; there’s a very unexpected, universe-expanding 😉deus ex machina; a Library Head storytime w/ wild fractured folktale; really fantastic double page spreads at the end of each story…

Cool project.
Took a screenshot for my cup-runneth-over file of amazing ideas I’ll prob never explore due to overwhelming abundance of cool ideas already accumulated yet not put into practice…but, still.

Nice!
Yes, definitely, let’s include fancified UPCs while we’re at it.

Probably my stance right now:

AI gives the vibes of using a leaf blower vs a rake.

The rake is calm, effective, individual, gets a less than thrilling job done well; the leaf blower makes a fucking hurricane of noise, spreads the misery of the boring job to exponentially more people, takes longer.

It’s sad when all opportunities for creative funkiness aren’t incorporated into as many books as possible. I love little surprises like #SecretCovers and #RecodeTheBarcode moments—and kids in my Storytime audience love them…so, come on publishers, make it happen!

ANY ISBNs YOU WANT TO SHARE, folks?

So, I tracked down an old tweet share from when I was still sadly dabbling in the old place…Mel Schuit celebrating #RecodeTheBarcode … the idea of deliberately incorporating the ISBN into the back cover art in some sort of witty way…
