The heart of the post: AI is bad at simple things where you can easily determine if it is incorrect, but “astonishingly good” at things that are difficult to check.

But the Ump is clearly, CLEARLY skewing calling in one direction. The pitch I'm pointing at in this screen cap: the one that's nearly a FOOT inside the box in every direction, is somehow called a ball.

Okay -- the shitty ump made an equally bad call in the Mets favor when Tommy Edman was up.
@MLB -- it's time to relieve these Umpires of the job they are incapable of executing. Let's have the computers call balls and strikes. At the very least, in 2026, you've GOT to allow replays.

Here were 2 of the strikes that were called balls that would have ended the inning. The previous batter had also been struck out, if not for Umpire incompetence.

That's the leadership, the positive energy, the work ethic this guy brought in 2024. Iglesias needs to be the #Mets starting 2nd baseman next year.
