I know it's early days with leas than a month under my belt at the new job, but its a strange feeling to be looking forward to upcoming time off more because it's a holiday away than because I won't have to go to work for a week

So long and thanks for all the fish

After the week that was, I'm so very glad I can spend a weekend just venting by being incredibly violent in a video game

So, to elaborate on this week's vexatious messages here.

Good news is a job offer I'm very likely to accept.

Shit news was a minor, damage only bump in my car (headlight needs replacing and some minor scratches).

All in all, I'll call it a win: the job will be around longer than the damage.

The shooting of Charlie Kirk raises many questions, key amongst them being where the fuck are the Epstein Files, Donald? Don't think we've forgotten about them

So may have achieved balance... Good news yesterday, bad start to today. Not related, thankfully, but still crap

Just got some very good news. Don't want to jinx it yet but it makes me a very happy doggy

Probably should've done it sooner, but just cancelled my Prime membership.

Almost £100/year to maybe get a parcel left on your doorstep, to access to a video platform that feels like its more ads than content, and to enjoy all the other enshitification of the platform just ain't it any more.

Unusual visitor (badly photographed) at work yesterday.

Don't worry, I wasn't driving at the time (I was being terrified by someone who probably shouldn't be driving)

Accidentally let the mask slip a little at work.

Me: I feel like I've been chasing my tail all day.

Colleague: I didn't know you had a tail

Me: I can do but wish...

Parent received a parking notice because she parked in the one carpark in the hospital that has a predatory company manage it

Appeal is lodged, hopefully the content is clear enough they understand the little old lady they tried to bully is backed by a stubborn cunt who knows their game

The same women who are today cheering about a victory of 'common sense' will tomorrow be complaining about trans-men using female spaces, despite that being exactly the outcome their victory today leads to

Being in a hotel with work always reminds me how shit linear TV can be

Sometimes it's nice to get a different perspective as part of your job

A nice walk this afternoon around Hollingworth Lake. Saw lots of wildlife, including sleepy ducks! (I quacked at them. They were not impressed with that...)

Ah, the first lurgy of 2025 and boy is it a doozy. Hopefully it goes as quickly as it arrived...

Probably the right time to reminisce about how preteen me wrote a story for school about a (self-insert) mad scientist who bred horse-sized foxes and unleashed them on a Boxing Day Hunt.

Probably the first time I wrote vore, and I didn't even realise it.

IV antibiotics are done and I now have an oral course to complete, but hopefully have a foot on the road to recovery. Feeling much better now than last week, will probably take the next couple of days off to make sure I'm not over exherting myself though.

So far this week the only day my work plans haven't been massively disrupted in a way that means I don't complete something I need to has been the one day I worked at home. But tell me again how being in the office is best...
