I was too young when I first saw Jaws. Whenever we went swimming in Cornwall I would always make sure I wasn't the furthest swimmer from shore, just in case.

Sadly, my anecdotal experience suggests that you might be in the minority. It's a shame, as I use it loads too, mainly for well-being, as well as nostalgia, of course
