That intro/mutual hunt post

✨all Star Trek (DS9 is my favorite, LD is my comfort, unashamed to love ENT, Janeway did no wrong)
✨Older SCI FI (Farscape, Doctor Who, Babylon 5)
✨CDramas
✨Stardew Valley
✨Cross Stitch
✨History
✨Figure Skating (not as much, encourage me to watch more)
✨Stuff I forgot
I am going to avoid SNW spoilers as much as possible by being vague, but if you haven't seen the recent episode skip this

The jump scare gave me Gorn vibes only for the Batel scene to happen. I'm not sure how it all fits and I am not the best at putting things together, so I could be wrong.

Una's hair is a crime. ENT did zombies better. Where they're going with the Gorn is lazy. I wasn't sure it was PTSD for Oretgas before but this convinced me, which is good. M'Benga is the highlight and this saved the episode. This is the first SNW episode I outright don't like. That's ok though.

My galaxy cross stitch sits untouched. I still need supplies for my other projects and the pain is always limiting. The nerve running down my arm is causing my fingers to twitch. That said I managed this one. Sometimes you fall in love with the simple patterns. Ignore my mistake.

Couldn't even do 25 stitches before the pain was too much. I haven't been able to cross-stitch or really do anything. The spine does not like me. The depression has not been great either. The existential dread grows. I just want a quiet peaceful life that's pain free.

Cross-stitchers: what free programs are you using for your digital patterns? I'm having issues with one pattern. I want to know if it's the file or not.

I really didn't do much, but that's ok. I've spent more time playing mobile games. One of those days.

I wish DMC still made the Aida with the metallics. Those always made cross-stitches stand out. Though I think there is a maker who still has a version of that.

I told myself an hour ago that I was going to cross-stitch. I'm still sitting here. I guess today is dedicated to buffer mode. I need pushed. 😂

Progress is super slow on the annoying pic2pat galaxy quartet thanks to pain from spine damage. So have this oldie. This pattern was from a cross-stitch magazine over a decade ago.

I honestly can’t stop thinking about this RFK speech. A lot of the outrage around it is focused on pointing out that it’s not true.

But so fucking what if it was? Do people whose bodies don’t work not deserve to exist in society? If all these things were true for a person are they less worthy?

I love Jadzia, but we never really knew her. We knew Jadzia as Curzon. All of her interests were Curzon's.

They pushed Ezri, who I also love, likely because the actress was less expensive being new and potentially the main cast wanted less work. But they should have bumped up the support cast.
What’s your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

Mine: Ezri Dax is a much more interesting character than Jadzia Dax.

Ezri has flaws and insecurities to overcome. Jadzia’s main traits are that she’s perfect and everyone likes her, and that’s boring.

I don't think this is unpopular. Anyone who's seen season 4 knows it had hit its stride, like every other series before it. This is one of the big tragedy's.
What’s your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

Mine: If Enterprise had got the planned fifth season, it would have had seasons six and seven.
What's your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

Mine: I like Dr Pulaski's story arc and wish we'd have at least seen a followup with her.

Not a fan of this pattern. It's obviously one of those ones where the person put a picture through something like pic2pat, especially as I was noticing the issues while stitching. There are 3 more with this to cross-stitch, so I will do them because I need the distraction from this horrible world.

Despite getting messy in the final episodes, I'm happy #TheGlory pulled off a satisfying end. It's been awhile since the end of an idol drama didn't let me down or make no sense. No spoilers, but the 19-20 minute mark was perfection.

I have 5 cross stitch projects I need supplies for. It's going to be about $100. Which I obviously can't afford because I need things like shoes. I have two WIPs before I will be caught up. *sigh* I miss the days when floss was 33 cents and you could get fabric relatively cheap.
April 8, 2025 at 11:01 PM
I really hope #TheGlory has a good ending. You can't have a villain staying ten steps ahead like that and not let the heroine prevail. But the trend has been winning at the expense of happiness.
April 6, 2025 at 12:07 AM
Haven't watched a full length cdrama in awhile, but I have stayed up too long these past two days watching The Glory. I'm halfway through and I am hoping the last half is as strong as the first. The FL is wonderfully clever and I Iove the uniqueness of her scheming to just be to have a home.

I'm envious of all of you who have the privilege to stock up on cross-stitch supplies. I'm just a poor disabled person who can't afford to buy up DMC floss and AIDA. I guess if I can't afford it my body will get a break. But that will just mean doom scrolling. So yeah, enjoy people.
April 4, 2025 at 2:48 PM
I don't have the other seasons. I do have a fall pattern from someone else though. I'm off to finish some celestial cross-stitch that I didn't like the pattern for. I actually am in need of patterns and supplies. 😭

Today has been a terrible day for me. I wish I had people for support. It's really hard being disabled and by yourself. That's not counting the future being bleak. Please, please support the disabled. Don't just look at us as collateral damage or with pity.

I really wish I had invested in the tools to keep myself from bending my neck while cross stitching. So much pain. Anyways, slowly I get there. How do we alt text detailed images without running out of space? I feel like I have to be less detailed to fit everything.
March 21, 2025 at 7:24 PM
I truly wish cross stitch designers would always put the floss key in numerical order. Especially for patterns that require a lot of colors. I'm missing a color. It's not the first one I have missed for this pattern, but it's the first I don't have at all. Not everyone can easily buy a single floss.
