Good news: Chriso still knows how to play drums! After two-ish years away from a kit they’re warming up in Portland before Ex-Boyfriends are reunited and it feels so good in SF later this month. Can you tell which EXBF song these drums belong to?

Back when our songs were on Apple Music (in its iTunes days) we received our two best reviews ever from the scathing, relentless music critic ‘rockchic1.’Personally we love the use of “thus” and “nor” anytime someone discusses our music that makes no sense!

On August 8, 2005 we had the huge honor to play at THEE Great American Music Hall opening for local faves Loquat and Citizens Here & Abroad. Getting to play at such a beloved SF venue was a huge blast and Chriso sneakily asked mayoral hopeful Matt Gonzalez what he thought of the set - he dug it!

Category is: Super awkward live EXBF shows! We played a bunch of shows bc our label asked us to and they were always suuuuper awkward. This one had us set up in a straight line on the tiny stage-ette in front of the movie screen playing for a bunch of Indian Jones fans who were SO not into us 😅😅😅

Whoops, Buhsky has a photo limit per post! But for real, we’d had just come back from a really crappy mini tour at the insistence of our sketchy record label and getting the SFBG ‘Best of the Bay’ shout out meant so much to us. We knew SF had us in their hearts just like we always have.

Remember print media?? Well somehow we were actually in some of it way back when. Press isn’t everything, but it was always flattering when people put us in ink and said something nice. And getting voted Best Indie Band by the SF Bay Guardian’s readers in 2008 was truly mind blowing! RIP SFBG!! ❤️

Back in 2007 we were lucky enough to have SF-based artist Ed Luce @wuvableoaf.bsky.social design a t-shirt for us! Much to our delight (Peter’s especially!), Ed gave us the brilliant ‘kitty fight’ design which we had printed on olive green and baby blue tees! Do you still have yours?
Baby’s first professional promo photos!! Back in 2004 we were snapped by the talented photographer and filmmaker, Blioux! They put us in light makeup (so glam!) and then we hammed it up like wild. Our songs are fairly serious but we’re all quite unserious in front of a camera 🤣
