I do not think Israel’s neighbours are ready to allow that. They appear not to have tasted defeat enough times. Perhaps someday they will get tired of abusing Israel’s mercy and using it to regroup for additional attacks. Maybe someday they will stop wanting to fight.

It does seem like a pretty good idea to keep an eye on religious fanatics bent on world domination, don’t you think? There are a lot of very crazy religious people. Why shouldn’t there be intelligence assets in that region?

Jews have at least have managed to preserve their language for thousands of years. Also, it’s not true that most are from the west. A majority of Israelis arrived from the Maghreb.

This might be, but I feel there must be some loss to claims of indigeneity when a people makes no attempt to preserve even their own language. If they speak only the language of their Arab conquerors and participate willingly in an Arab supremacist agenda, I feel they lose that right.

They felt entitled to it, and their egos cannot live with the knowledge that they were defeated in a contest for some of this land by people who they had made subservient for over a thousand years. It must be very humiliating if you’re an Arab supremacist.

Because Arab supremacists are filled with narcissistic rage over their loss of privilege and status. It is, after all, why they rebelled against the Ottomans in the first place. They’re angry that they failed to fill every part of the power vacuum they helped create.

Moreover, antisemitism is kind of under the umbrella of any group’s supremacism, whether they are Arab supremacists, Han Chinese Sinocentrists, or more domestically familiar neo-Nazis, KKK, etc.

It’s not antisemitism. It is Arab supremacism. There’s a distinction to me made academically, I suppose, but in practice, imposing Arab hegemony over Jews and demanding their forced removal, has largely the same effect regardless of whether it is done for antisemitic reasons or not.
