I think you should use your privilege to unite with other people and support your community tangibly, not to hide away with other privileged folks and ignore the problems because they won’t directly impact you if you throw enough money between yourself and reality

The thing about being a trans woman is that there's literally nothing you can do to keep scary people from hating you and wanting you to die. You might as well be a completely authentic freak pervert, because no matter how polite and withdrawn you are they will hate you anyway.

Urgent trans and nonbinary update: I called a passport office and got a sympathetic rep who told me officially any information about gender markers is posted online. Unofficially, they *literally whispered,* they have heard the same rumors about passports being confiscated.
