I wrote the entry on Sayyid Sharif-i Jurjani for EI3 Online and it has just been published. I am very grateful to the editors of EI3 at Brill. The article was supposed to be just 1000 words, but they accepted a significantly longer piece.

Russian Archeological Institute of Constantinople (Русский археологический институт в Константинополе) 1894 - 1914, founded by the famous Byzantinist Fyodor Ivanovich Uspenskii. Wiki says it was founded in 1895.

I knew that it existed, but I didn’t know we were neighbors.
