Lighter sessions. One was me literally holding a handful of colored pencils and closing my eyes and just drawing, connecting to the feel of the pencils scraping against the paper. Grounding activities. Breathing techniques. Talking about my favorite ice cream flavor. Anything that creates connection

I have found that over my years of therapy, sometimes focus needs to be shifted, especially when you have zero threshold. Part of therapy is challenging old neural pathways and building new ones, but that can’t always happen. Therapy doesn’t always have to be about the past.

I feel this! Last week I road tripped to North Carolina and listened to Project Hail Mary. First and probably last completed audiobook. It was fantastic but I still feel like I need to physically read it. I’m definitely a mechanical reader, my eyes do the work much better than my ears.

Yes! Just fyi my first try I stopped at episode six. Felt like it was dragging a little. Went back and tried again about a year later…so glad I stuck with it! Was debating a rewatch of this soon, too!

Violet Evergarden, Parasyte, Erased, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Ajin Demi-human…my favorite anime is way over your episode limit but Bleach is FANTASTIC. And you can skip the filler episodes to get it down to about 160 or so (not including the current 1000 year blood war arc.)

Jerry would have road-tripped back with me had Joe not said no. 🤣
