So excited with this experiment! 23 lts of a Riesling wine and 1 kg of sauteed cinnamon apples, destined to be a base for an apple pie that will clock in around a 55 ABV. After the stripping run I'll be cutting it with an apple juice/apple pie spice reduction for the final run, then aging on oak.

At our morning cafe and decided to sit outside to watch people and dogs. Before getting any coffee in us we were engaged by a mildly mad street preacher who was offering linguistic proof of some crazy theological ideas. Stopped the moment I said we were done. Wild ride. 5 stars, would recommend.

"Finchampstead, Berkshire" looks like the sort of name someone would come up with when being questioned by the police and making up where they're from. "Fin ... champ ... stead ... berk ... shire?" Elusive Brewing is located there so I'll have to go check out their parish church and taproom. 🍻

I have an absolutely monstrous beer in bubbling away right now. I added marshmallow creme (Fluff) into secondary and was worried that the preservatives might interfere with the yeast but apparently that's not an issue. It's destined to be a butter beer. I'm thinking about naming it Flufferbutter.
