Former Tech worker turned librarian. Lives in NYC (formerly from Guyana).
Heard Depeche Mode and New Order being played on 101.1 CBS-FM. Blimey. What's next? Some Concrete Blonde, Siouxie and The Banshees? Is CBS-FM becoming a covert alternative station. About bloody time. We need some alternative music in NYC. Carry on, folks.

Eggnog. Check. Love, Actually Blu-Ray. Check. I am ready for Christmas Eve. Yes, I know that cramps my reputation as an "evil parrot". But that's how we evil parrots roll.

Maybe it's an NYC thing. I notice that a lot of folks have forsaken the concept of headphones and hold their smartphones to their ears. The last time I saw behaviour like that the devices were small and were called transistor radios. Aye, all that tech only to be treated like relic of the past. #smh

It is 3 days til Christmas. I haven't heard the Barking Dogs Jingle Bells on 106.7 Lite-FM. Also I've been listening to the North Pole Radio on iHeart Radio (they play Christmas music 24/7/365 ... no kidding) and NO Barking Dogs Jingle Bells. Bloody hell. Did Barking Dogs get cancelled? Sad World.

As we approach the Christmas season, and I look forward to set forward to leaving my radio stuck 24/7 on 106.7 Lite-FM, I have to ask: "Dear Lite-FM would it kill you to add the Barking Dogs Jingle Bells to your bloody playlist?" Just asking for ... um, a friend. Aye.

Left home extra, extra early on Monday morning and the #MTA transit buses managed to get me within JOGGING distance of my job in order for me to log in at exactly the time I'm supposed to be in. Seriously? New #MTA slogan: "MTA, capable of messing up a wet dream". Bloody hell, mate.

Thanks to ads that mess up my YT viewing experience on my smart TV, I have no intentions of patronizing the very bollocks in your ads. Aye, when a 10 minute video has 5 mins of ads, it's bloody annoying. Yes, you have to make a buck to make to stuff free. Fine. And there's being a bloody nuisance.

Signed into my TinkerCad account from a new device. Got harrassed with a security question and passed. Now they want me to get a verification code off a phone that is inactive. Are you bloody serious? Why the hell even bother with "security questions"? Tossers !!!

Was bored and was watching that Jem cartoon on Tubi, and I've come to the conclusion that some of the songs on Jem rocked harder than most of the pop bollocks you hear today on the radio. It's truly, truly, truly outrageous. I missed the 80s.

Started cooking on Sunday nights with my CDs. Yes, turned off Pandora and gave my router a rest. Forgot how good my CDs sound, and the best part about that is that they are not generating any data for data mining tossers to gather. Alas, my stereo is not internet capable. Bloody awesome.

Just when I was starting to enjoy summer, it is practically on its way out. Such utter bollocks.

Just a shout out to my mates at #99X (100.5 FM) in #Atlanta, it was a delightful two weeks of listening to alt-rock on terrestrial radio. Please school my city NYC on this, aside from crappy gun laws, we somehow can't seem to keep a decent alt-rock FM radio station. Bloody hell.

Recently traveled. Now every plane seat has an overhead slot for carry-ons. Why in bloody hell, going and coming, I had to hear the airline offering free check-ins for certain groups because they were out of storage. Seems like some folks are taking up more than their share. Please enlighten me.

During this #NationalTeacherAppreciationWeek I want to give a great shout out to Sir Remington Williams. Though not officially knighted he is highly regarded. A treasure to humanity and a (former) great History teacher. My sympathy to those that has never met or had him as a teacher. Cheers.

Was cooking late last night, with Pandora in the background. The algorithm picked up a group called Dead On A Sunday that did a delightful cover of Q Lazarus' Goodbye Horses. I'm bloody obsessed with that cover now.

A few years ago I digitized this into mp3s. Was recently listening the actual cassette (yes, the Evil Parrot has an active cassette player), still sounds good. It was my first bit of music I purchased when I came to the US (back in 89) from "clearance" bin at Sam Goody. Long live Tangerine Dream.

I remember sitting in my Guyanese living room in the 80s watching Real Genius, and I became fascinated with lasers. And then I saw Short Circuit and went on to study electrical engineering. Thanks for the memories Mr. Kilmer. May you truly Rest in Peace, my good man.

Many Gen Xers are talking about Gen X as of lately. Allow me to add to the conversation. Gen X (Guyanese edition) did not have television in their homes until around 1985. Yes, me and my mates spent more than 15 years without a telly. On the bright side, we polished off novels ... in 6th grade.

Despite this topsy-turvey world, it is nice to leave work at 6pm and still see the sun out. I'm not a fan of that 4:30pm pitch darkness bollocks.

I've become a big fan of Cannons. There is something about that song Bad Dream, when those keyboard parts hit and it somehow transports me back to my town in Guyana, during the 80s, I can smell the pine trees on my high school campus and there is a certain woman there. Music: a mental time machine.
