I love hearing poets read their own work. In this case, Robert Frost’s “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” sounds like he’s just rattling off a grocery list. Which I suppose the poem kind of is.

I bought two of those jingle ball in the cardboard accordion things so my cats (who hate each other) could stop fighting. But instead one cat ignores them both while the other …
Two round cardboard accordion-pleated circles with a track for a jingle ball. The circles are side by side and Kiki, my favorite cat, is lying with her chin wedged between the two circles. Kiki is asleep.

Best Guernica joke ever. By Quino. The more I look, the more I laugh.
A purely visual joke, I’m sorry. A woman in a floral dress shows another woman — wearing a maid’s uniform — a messy room. The room is trashed. Ashtrays, empty bottles, etc. there is a print of Guernica on the wall over the couch. The second frame is the room, tidied, with everything put away. The maid had left the room and the woman in the floral dress studies Guernica — now tidied. It now shows a lovely scene of a woman breastfeeding her child, with a man offering a lamp to another woman reading a book, a horse and cow look in the window. The maid has taken the dark and gruesome painting and turned it into a cheerful scene.
