A lot of UK housing was built without cars in mind!

There's no reason why you couldn't have a separate (private) meter, just for your EV use. My employer was going to do that for me 25 years ago and I set up an old mechanical meter as a demo. When they saw how much I was using for my 10 mile commute, they decided it would cost more to bill me.

No, I have a surgical appliance to prevent that.

Evaporust, like WD40, is a triumph of brand awareness above performance. Its stupidly expensive in the UK. Bilt Hamber's Deox-C (which comes as dry crystals) is just as effective, if not better, and a lot cheaper. There are cheap home brew formulae that appear to out perform Evaporust.

I was talking to Martin at Rustival and had warned him that it was composed almost entirely of Steel-less stain.

Things have changed quite a bit since I built an Acorn Atom (with switchable 100% overclocking) into an ITT2020 (Apple II clone) case.

The only 'fancy' watch I have any interest in would be a Bulova Accutron Spaceview. The Accutron was the first electronic wrist watch and used a tiny mechanical tuning fork as the reference source. The Spaceview started out as a promotional model with transparent dial. Not silly expensive.

Really boring? But I thought you were going for totally boring!

You'll have to try harder.

The maximum CONTINUOUS draw from a UK 13A socket used to be 10A and that's as high as I'd be comfortable running any outlet/plug combination that wasn't brand new. Most 'high draw' appliances are now limited to 2.2kW for that reason. Kettles may still be rated at 3kW due to short run time.

Too many Alfa males, i.e. not yet well developed, or stable enough, for a Beta release.

Not the same, but derived from it. The rack is usually used to limit lock to avoid rubbing, but it's clearance between the wheel and parts of the vehicle that limits usable lock.

In what way did they use Herald steering? There are no shared components (maybe a couple of bushes could be the same). Do you just meant the amount of lock available?

Cars didn't often catch fire, or explode, on film or TV until colour film stock came in. Most actual explosives and propellants are smokeless, because it's a good idea to not give away your position on the battle field.

Milk chocolate isn't chocolate.

Nothing less than 70% is acceptable.

Shame the museum website is so flakey.

It was clunky last time (having to update basket after adding an item).

This time it still had that fault and also failed to process the payment twice and I've seen similar problems reported by others. Eventually got it to work on another PC (cookie issue?).
