Remember the #EUETS review?

Results - overwhelming majority wants the ETS installations to have access to permanent removals.

The #emissionstrading systems are evolving, and there are many directions they can take.

The role of #carbonremovals is an integral part of the development.

There are three options for the role of #CDR in the #SBTi draft net-zero standard.

What if there was a fourth one?

@roberthoglund.bsky.social put it forward at the latest CDR policy scoop.

What is going on with the EU's 2040 climate target proposal?

It looks bad from the comms perspective.

I've rarely seen Commission spokespersons change the narrative from one day to another.

Misalignment between different sections of the Commission? Issues with the content?
Any other ideas?

The ESABCC just published a 333-page (!!!) report on #CarbonRemoval.

Some recommendations on #CDR are obvious (separate targets, quality, CO2 infra etc), some go deeper (extended emitter responsibility).
