However, I want you to know that we don't have to fear what we can change.

One change we can make is to replace our Congressman, who has been idle in the face of these injustices. So many of these tragedies could be prevented by a Congress with backbone.

My heart breaks for all of us, too. We cannot keep memorializing people without acknowledging the harm we’re all suffering from these grave injustices that continue to claim lives day after day. The fear it brings us in our own lives is overwhelming.

It is time for a Congress that puts Georgia’s families first, above spending on endless wars. 3/3

While our government finds billions for strikes abroad, families right here in GA-13 are being crushed by the stress of prices at the grocery store.

I am running for Congress to stop the endless spending on war and start investing in our own communities. 2/3

I also want to recognize that school breaks can be hard on some parents financially, because the cost of childcare is outrageous.

In Congress, I’ll fight to lower childcare costs so times like these don’t cause financial distress.

I decided to run because Congress needs new energy, and our district needs stronger representation.

Change can’t wait in GA-13, and the future depends on what we do right now. 2/2

We need to reinstate the ban on assault weapons. We need to ban dark money groups like the NRA from our political process. We need to act with the urgency that we could be next, because we could be. 7/7

It’s on all of us to continue the drumbeat until the voices of the people sound off louder than the special interests and gun lobby who would rather we grow quiet. 6/7

In Australia, the horrific attack at Bondi Beach has already been met with swift policy action to tighten gun laws. If only U.S. elected officials responded with the same sense of urgency. 5/7

I believe in the power of prayer, but elected officials have been put in positions of power to act. I’d remind those politicians who meet these moments with prayer, but without policy, that faith without works is dead. 4/7

We’ve all gotten a bit too comfortable not talking about mass shootings when they happen because action has been lacking, but that is exactly why we must continue to talk about them. 3/7
