Candidate for US Congress in GA-13. Fmr Gwinnett School Board Chair; Harvard ‘13, Stanford ‘16, Harvard ‘25, he/him
I’m challenging Rep. David Scott in GA-13 because change can’t wait.

Rep. David Scott was elected to Congress in 2002. At some point, longevity has to be measured against outcomes, not just years.

I wrote about a better path forward in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

I humbly stand on the shoulders of giants. Seven years ago, I was sworn in as the first Black person and the youngest to ever elected to the Gwinnett County Board of Education.

We’ve accomplished so much, but the fight for progress continues!

Had a wonderful time at the Clayton County Democratic Party Holiday Party. Saw some familiar faces and met some new people, too!

How kids are about to be looking on the bus home today 😂

Today is the last day of school before winter break for so many kids across the district and I’m wishing families joy and togetherness.

I am deeply honored to have Governor Deval Patrick’s endorsement.

Governor Patrick spent his career expanding opportunity, at the Justice Department, in the private sector, and as a groundbreaking governor who invested in education and communities. 1/2

Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov went to class on Friday at Brown University and never made it home. I cannot imagine the pain their families are experiencing right now, and the pain they are now burdened with forever. 1/7

To all observing Hanukkah here in GA-13, I wish you eight days of joy, reflection, and connection.

We are in a fight for our future, will we build it for the landlords and corporations? Or will we build it for us - the teachers, nurses, retail workers, so we can afford to live good lives?

The choice is ours.

If working people across our district cannot afford to enjoy their own downtowns, we are failing them.

I’m running for Congress to build an economy where development serves workers first and people can actually afford to live, work, and play in the communities they sustain.

When candidates focus on the cost of living, funding our schools, ensuring our people have health care, and true economic freedom, we win in places we’re not “supposed” to.

Congrats Rep-elect Eric Gisler – this is the momentum we’re taking into 2026.

GA-13 deserves better in Congress.

We deserve a Congressperson who will actively be in our communities.

This moment calls for building coalitions to get things done. In 2018, I was the lone Democrat on the state's largest school board & I was 40 years younger than anyone else on the board.

I know how to work with whoever is at the table & still deliver as promised without compromising on our values.

Yall, these prices are ridiculous.

We all feel it.

That’s why I am fighting for things like Medicare for All, universal childcare, and raising the minimum wage. Because life needs to be affordable.

World AIDS Day is a time for reflection, to honor those we’ve lost, reaffirm support for those living with HIV and AIDS, and to combat the stigma. This year, our government is not acknowledging World AIDS Day. 1/2

I’m running for Congress because as an educator, I know how dangerous the cuts to education are to our children.

I’ll go to Washington to fight for our students and all working families.

Join us.

The last time Congress raised the minimum wage was in 2009.

Think about how much things cost today, who can survive on $15k per year? No one.

That's why I support raising the minimum wage, it should be a living wage.

I had the opportunity to serve our community alongside some amazing leaders today at the Clayton County Holiday Food Drive.

Grateful for the opportunity to make sure folks have enough on the table this Thanksgiving.

I’m running for Congress because I know our communities can have better.

I’m tired of only hearing what politicians stand against.

We can have affordable housing and healthcare, good schools and jobs, and the ability to live good lives.

Let’s stop pretending like everything going on right now is “normal.”

It’s not, we’re in crisis.

My name is Dr. Everton Blair and I’m running for Georgia’s 13th congressional district because we need leaders who can lead through a crisis.

No matter what they say or what they do, love lives everywhere. I believe all people have a right to love who they love.

...and I'll fight like hell to protect that freedom FOR everybody.

Thinking of my aunts, uncles, and cousins back home in Jamaica. We spoke about the storm. They're prepared and their spirits are high, a mark of their unwavering faith. #PrayForJamaica

My name is Everton Blair and I’m running to represent Georgia’s 13th Congressional District because my community deserves a representative who will fight to make our lives better and get us out of this mess.

Change Can’t Wait. Let’s do this! #TeamEverton #EvertonforCongress
