What an incredibly misleading post. Fluoride is not being abandoned because of "health concerns." It's being abandoned because of conspiracy theories. There are no legitimate, evidence-based health concerns with fluoride.

This one too. Plus every single one of their followers -- none of them are real (and if there are a few in there, they are people who blindly follow anyone who follows them and not worthy to save from a block).

Please block this account folks, if you care about trans people and remember what Kiwi Farms was about.

His "focus on healthy foods" and his "controversial views." I am so sad we don't have a mainstream political press up to this moment.

Be careful out there, Chicago! It's brutal. Here's the info on cooling centers:

I wanted to double check that this story was not "analysis" or in the opinion section. It really isn't. Also halfway through the article you'll find this passage that IMO tells you even more about the feelings of NYT's political editors/reporters. Link in alt text if you want to read for yourself.

LOL at the Times headline -- they're so mad the choice wasn't selectively leaked to them 😂

Hey Bluesky! I run an email group in the run up to the election with actions you can take and info on down ballot races you should pay attention to, and it's starting this week. It's also a hype machine! If you or anyone you know is interested in receiving it, reply/DM me and I'll make it happen.

That's who announced but apparently Andrew Solender (and AOC by RT) said it was way more.

Let's be clear: Netanyahu was at the forefront of the movement and spoke at multiple rallies with groups calling for "Death to Rabin" just before pro-peace Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin *was assassinated.* He should never get to speak about propriety when it comes to assassination and democracy.

I get your point, but this one from July 6 just doesn't count in your book?

I just looked up the delegates for the Democratic Convention who were elected from Chicago in the primary. Some are local politicians (alders, state legislators), others are just local Democratic party members. Get acquainted with them. If Biden does drop out, we need to make our voices heard.

These are the results of the primary election in Chicago. I pay quite close attention to local politics and I can tell you that with rare exception most voters in the primary and certainly in the general have no idea who 90% of these folks are.

Your impression is not data though. Bernie and AOC just get more attention and I think it's important to remember that.

If we're so damn worried about aging we should just make Paul Rudd the Democratic nominee for President.

It's hard because I do feel like it's important to keep some recipes to pass down in the family... but maybe when I'm dead I'll share my Christmas cookie recipes or my challah recipe. They're delicious.

The Olympics is coming in a week and all I can say is thank goodness we'll be able to think about something other than politics.

What sport are you most looking forward to this year?
