If not for Gaza, Saudi Arabia would've entered in a 3 way security agreement between the US and Israel which probably included nuclear weapons.

The only reason they didn't as early as Biden is because doing so w/gaza would cause their population to fucking riot

because stadium attendance does not indicate actual support. Yeah the people who attended the stadium loved her. Most everyone else strongly disliked both candidates and just stayed home

And Israel is a case where the US just outright ignores what the people clamor for because they are loyal to billionaires not the people. But Gaza will end in either everyone dying or the population eventually being nakbad to another country. Probably the former

Israel/Gaza would be like if the US outright supported Russia and gave them limitless weapons and support and instead of invading, Russia was just trying to outright kill every last Ukrainian. Its not the same. The US sees russia as oppositional but still don't really care about Ukraine

And its not just because trump likes Putin. It's because at this point the war is in stalemate to Putin's advantage and only he can decide to call it quits

He middle east is an American thing though and was allowed to be a forever war because its not on US soil. Ukrainians are feeling the effects of the war every day.

And I won't deter you from holding out hope. But the fact the potential deal is so 1 sided means Russia has all the leverage rn

Forever wars are unpopular and black rock wants to cash in on Ukraine economy so Trump will probably force a peace agreement in exchange for further security promises

That's what I mean by saving face. They don't have to admit they can't win. They can claim trump sabotaged them despite the fact the war has taken its toll on the people and Russia is too dug in to break the stalemate

Especially since there is a good deal of truth there as even under Biden, Ukraine was never viewed as anything more than a meat shield/campaign platform by western govts

He doesn't really have much choice in the matter. He has 0 leverage w/anyone and Ukraine can't continue the war forever. Especially w/out US support. The time period for a favorable peace deal ended years ago.
