The entirety of Immigration and Customs Enforcement needs to be figuratively burned to the ground, and everyone that took part in it needs to face overwhelming legal, social and personal consequences.

No quarter, no mercy. They're violent fucking Nazis and we need to treat them as such.

Happy five year anniversary of the former president and current despot of the US inciting an insurrection at the nation's capitol over losing an election, and facing zero real world consequences for it.

Two things can be, and in fact are, both true:

• AI is unethical whether it works or not.
• AI doesn't work.

So it's appropriate to arrest a world leader if you consider them criminal? You can just go get them? Just asking questions here.

Living in a cyberpunk dystopian rogue nation is a hell of a lot less entertaining than I was led to believe it would be.

I knew today was gonna be weird, given *gestures broadly at everything*, but I sure didn't expect to START with a visibly coked out Marco Rubio presser

Mozilla has a new CEO which:

- Has been at Mozilla for less than a year
- Has no prior open source experience (but well in "fintech" and "real estate")
- Has a MBA (aka "brainworm diploma")
- Is all-in on AI

That’s exactly the kind of profile the whole community has been waiting for.

News flash: Billionaires are unpopular. But, the strength of the sentiment and how fast the needle has moved were both surprises to me. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/14/opinion/billionaires-politics-money.html

Look, either we as a society can tax billionaires out of existence, or we can kill them with hammers.

Right now, it seems like they're pulling for the latter, which is...an odd choice.

I think it is telling that we are about three years into the AI craze and, still, every single time someone says to me "I asked ChatGPT ___ " or "The chatbot told me ____" I know they are about to say something completed stupid and devoid of facts. Every single time.

It used to be that #usaa was the gold standard for everything. Car insurance, home insurance, banking, car rentals, _everything_.

Now, not so much. Their DriveSafe app doesn't even work half the time, which is fun

I love that whatever npm issue has cropped up today happened about an hour after I logged out of my job.

Today, at least, it's not my circus and not my monkeys.

Next week the House E&C Committee is looking to run something of a shock and awe campaign, debating at least 19 bills that they say are related to "protecting kids online." Most of which are actually about censorship and control. Don't buy the framing. It's always the same damn thing.

Generally speaking, I'm against capital punishment. It's barbaric and, like any punitive legal "solution", will inevitably end up being used disproportionately against the poor and marginalized.

But maaan, this Epstein stuff is testing my resolve on the matter
