Prioritizing clarity and shared context in our codebase reduces friction, speeds up development, and leads to better, more scalable solutions. It’s a commitment to our teams and the quality of our work.

Every line of code tells a story. I often ask: What story will my code tell a year from now? Will it be a clear guide that helps another developer build on it, or a confusing puzzle that slows progress?
November 11, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Writing clear, well-documented code isn’t just about optimizing performance—it’s about improving collaboration and maintainability.

My hope for the future is that InferaDB becomes the go-to solution for authorization. We want to empower developers, simplify complex access control, and unlock innovation by removing security bottlenecks. This is just the beginning of our journey. I can't wait to build this with you.

The numbers we're seeing this early are just mind-blowing. In initial benchmarks, we're hitting 4.9 billion ops/sec with a 200ns average response time. It's a testament to the architecture and I'm so energized by its potential to redefine performance for authorization.
November 10, 2025 at 4:56 PM
This is the inspiration for InferaDB. We’re building an open, inference-driven authorization database designed for modern applications. It models relationships as data and policies as logic, making it scalable, intuitive, and incredibly powerful for developers.

Today's authorization solutions aren't keeping up. They're complex, inflexible monoliths or scattered microservices that become a major bottleneck for engineering teams. It stifles speed and introduces risk. Developers need something built for modern, distributed systems.

Utilize HSA/FSA for OURA. To get the most out of WHOOP, consider bulk-buying tests or use their historical upload feature to track trends.
October 23, 2025 at 1:22 AM
For general health, OURA surpasses WHOOP in terms of price and simplicity. However, for insights into performance, longevity, or hormones, WHOOP's more comprehensive panel might justify the premium cost.
October 23, 2025 at 1:22 AM
So... which one's right for you?

For most people, OURA's Health Panels provide a solid preventative health baseline and generally offer better value.

For biohackers or athletes, WHOOP Advanced Labs delivers more actionable and in-depth data on training, fatigue, nutrition, and hormones.
October 23, 2025 at 1:22 AM
Both tests are US-only. They integrate with your wearable data and app, with actual doctors reviewing your results.

I appreciate that WHOOP offers volume discounts and the option to upload past labs for free long-term tracking.
October 23, 2025 at 1:22 AM
WHOOP is nearly twice as expensive per test but offers about 30% more unique biomarkers, emphasizing performance, longevity, and recovery.

The cost per biomarker is approximately $2 for OURA and $3 for WHOOP.
