You really think this would improve things? Jumping back on the rollercoaster of rotating PMs and instability. Sure you aren’t just in love with the drama of endless rumourmongering?

But all of this is speculative gossip so stop treating it as fact.

Do you think that you can go into a broken damaged system and instantly put it right? Do you realise that if you want someone to be able to bring about change you have to stick with them for a reasonable time not run after every passing bird in case its superman coming to the rescue.

So stick with someone long enough for them to see things through.

After one year? We really really do not want to go back to the instability of the Tory new Prime Minister every 5 minutes.

Behind Keir Starmer lies 14 years of Tory garbage leadership, potentially ahead of him stands what? Popularists with hollow one liners? KS is exactly what this country needs right now to manage us slowly out of the Tory mess, not some smooth talking entertainer, from any party.

He’s only been PM for just over a year - wow he’s been busy. Either you are pursuing a sinister agenda of your own or you are really clueless about leadership and the state the country has been left in after the crazy Brexit years.

Yes I think some form of PR is a good idea but by no means an easy answer.

Really? Seems to me its easy to say what ought to be happening when you have zero responsibility for making it work.

Stranger danger was a terrible slogan- please don’t reinstate it.

I know a very well qualified candidate struggling to find a TA position. Got to be a mismatch somewhere?

Sadly if you look at comments under your post there are all too many people eager to leap on the dissing Starmer band wagon. You cannot clean up years of incompetence and corruption easily or quickly. Yes we need to keep alive the good aims but do it in a positive way.

I was really addressing that to @alexhh.bsky.social - sorry. I appreciated your explanation and as someone who has had to lead organisations through change after bad times I know how hard it is, so I want to support Labour’s efforts even if not perfect.

So will it result in you being less negative about Starmer?

This thread nails, very simply, what is happening now. When I voted Labour I knew they could sort out the colossal mess the Tories left the country in. I didn’t for one minute think it would happen within a few months. Hold your nerve people. The rebuild has started.
