This heart pattern was full of so many new things to learn from. Check out the latest Daedalus blog for information about this pattern along with loads of tips and tricks I found useful while working on this new project.

I need to do more research on finishing methods for shoelaces. I do like the heat shrink; however, it didn't shrink as tightly as I would have hoped, which made the laces a bit difficult to thread for these shoes.

I had a lot of fun weaving these and can’t believe I managed to finish them with plenty of time to spare to wear to Black Sheep Gathering this weekend.

What you see here is the results of my very first time Tablet Weaving and first time using Penelope. I may have spent a lot of time last night weaving and smiling away.

I had a wee bit of user error on warping(out of practice), but despite problems of my own creation, I found warping up Penelope to be so easy and very forgiving. The front clamp was such a great assist to the whole warping process.

I had a lot of help from Blake and Jenn along with a great video by Elewys Finchingefeld.

Once I get to the point where I am working on the arms and the body, I’ll be able to have all three balls set up on the @akerworks AkerKate to keep everything organized. I love how smoothly the yarn comes off on these Yarn Caddies.

I am thankful to past me for all the notes and spreadsheets I made recording adjustments I made with my first Flax sweater. Based on the first one I’ve got down a sweater size and will make all the additional changes needed to ensure fitment.

I’m using @akerworks yarn caddies to hold my Roly-Poly balls of yarn. While at my desk I either use two ClampyKates or an AkerKate depending on how much desk space I have. The @j.e.l.b.y sheepie stitch markers give me a little grin every time I reach one.
