like if their entire goal is to streamline game development it just doesnt make sense for them to sit here drawing way more things than required just to have a brand new model. thats definitely not whats being suggested here

there is no way they would be able to ethically source the thousands and thousands of artwork that would be required to generate something completely novel for their game development. most of the time when people say these things they mean an already existing model bc its just not feasible

i feel also looking at characters from different things you enjoy is a good way to learn how to do this too. body language also plays a big part in how a character is viewed too

i think pinterest is a good way to look at different kinds of clothes. when i design characters its a mixture of trying to put myself in their shoes and also thinking about what someone would glean from them at first glance. ex. if i had a insecure character id probably have them barely showing skin

yeah i am genuinely disappointed that they made an entire stand against wotc and their usage of gen AI only to do this

this isnt to say the game isnt impressive, its just because of how big the scope of the world is i felt like it was missing a lot of things. like in wind waker everything felt so reactive as you moved through the story.

I think from what I recall with stone ocean araki sort of struggled to think of where to take it, said something about it being peak JoJo so itd be hard to follow up. idk it seemed like he needed to do something fresh which I understand. but I still feel like jolyne was shafted a bit by extension 🥲

i really enjoyed the dynamic between the trio of stone ocean, but i feel like the ending really left such a sour taste in my mouth..... i will forever be salty we got to see joseph and jotaro throughout multiple seasons but we dont get to see older jolyne......
