I live in Northern Virginia. I go to downtown DC all the time for work, for fun, just to get some city vibes. I never feel unsafe in my opinion, the biggest crime in DC right now is the cost of housing.

This is a really great thing to keep in mind.
I do astronomy for a living, and images like this *still* take my breath away. What a beautiful universe we live in. Even in the midst of trouble, grief, & anything you might be struggling with (like we all are) - try to seek out the beauty. It helps ❤️
