Unfired clay! Might be a bit gritty, but I understand the impulse.

There is no shame having a safety net, that’s wonderful to have and I wish everyone had it but not everyone does. I have a bee in my bonnet with the race to the bottom this convo creates where it’s a who gets paid the least party when I need it to inspire demands for higher pay

And the end, anything that is left in the crucible gets poured into ingot trays.
@benhollis.net took all these videos, btw. I tend to be so bad at filming myself, so it was great to get these from him.

This was at Pratt Fine Art center in Seattle, with my bronze casting class.
I’m in silver, pouring. My co-teacher Maz Fahey is working the hoist. Vanessa Baird is on the “dead” end of the pouring shank.

That’s what I was hoping! His movies are so much more gentle in the way they handle the viewer, if that makes sense. Slow burns of emotion, instead of a simple sledgehammer of feels.
That said, I think I’ve avoided seeing a couple of his, so this might be selection bias.

Ok, so would I, who perpetually gets stressed out by movie people in doomed/ stressful situations, have any chance in hell of surviving it?
Also I can’t do jump scares, but that’s never been a thing with his movies.

Just knowing you online, I’d guess 6? Just mostly visually, based on facial piercings and outfits and such.
