The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. There's always a way to access information. No media is ever truly lost forever.

We also did fine without government websites for longer than we have had them as a nation.

This is annoying, but in the digital age we cannot be cut off from facts.
